DocRenders ("we", "us", "our") operates the DocRenders API and website at docrenders.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed representation of your password. We do not store plaintext passwords.
API usage data. We log each API request, including the timestamp, request size, render duration, HTTP status code, and which API key was used. We do not log the content of the HTML or Markdown you submit.
Submitted content. HTML and Markdown sent to the /render endpoint is used solely to produce the requested PDF. We do not store or analyse your source content.
Generated PDFs. Rendered PDF files are stored on your behalf so you can access and download them from your dashboard.
Billing information. Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status. We do not store full card numbers or CVV codes.
Website analytics. We may collect anonymised page-view data (pages visited, browser type, country) to understand how the product is being used.
We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising.

Each third party handles your data under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.
Account and billing records are retained for the lifetime of your account and for up to 7 years after closure for legal and accounting purposes.
API request logs (timestamp, key ID, status code) are retained for 90 days for debugging and usage reporting.
Source HTML/Markdown submitted for rendering is never persisted — it is discarded once the PDF is produced.
Generated PDFs are retained for as long as needed to provide the Service, including allowing you to access previously rendered documents from your dashboard.
API keys are stored as bcrypt hashes. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. We follow industry-standard practices to protect against unauthorised access, including access controls and regular security reviews.
No system is perfectly secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly to support@docrenders.com.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@docrenders.com.
You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard. Deletion removes your account record and revokes all API keys. Billing records are retained as required by law.
We use session cookies to keep you signed in to the dashboard. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. You can disable cookies in your browser, but this will prevent dashboard access.
The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.
